Wow Ms Zoe. Kinda, fairly, dreadful
I'm a big fan of Rachel Zoe, I watched her reality TV show RELIGIOUSLY and fell in love with all her bananas ways. However, having seen her new solo clothing line, my estimation of her has deflated somewhat. Bearing in mind she is currently eight months pregnant, let's blame the hormones...
I am sad to say it is probably one of the most boring collections I have seen in recent years. It has a cheap feel about it - both in some of the actual design, (queue the baggy glittery numbers), but also the all-round manufacture; the cut doesn't look as clean as most celebrity endorsed projects. To credit it though, the leg tailoring is quite good on some suit pieces, and some one off garments do appear sweetly chic. There is little variation amongst the pieces - there is a lot of Rachel Zoe in there. I have never really liked her casual styling, I loved her choices for her clients at formal events, and her inspired use of couture, therefore I didn't think this was the best move.
